Coonoor



Coonoor is a small taluka in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu, India. Located at an altitude of 1850 m it is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris. The hill station is well known for various trekking expeditions and sightseeing. The place is also well known for having all kind of people living together and it is due to the Madras regiments of Indian army residencies, Defence services staff College in the Wellington Containment, Tourists and Boarding Schools.
