Ratnagiri is a popular district of Maharashtra which is popular for its natural beauty and it is one of the most visited tourists destination also. Ratnagiri is blessed with natural beauty as there are number of places to visit and old historical places located in Ratnagiri are also very popular. The cool, pleasant weather of the town attracts more and more number of tourists from all over the world. 


Ratnagiri is popular for Alphanso Mango and for many fruits and in summer, the demand for mangoes always remain very high because of which Ratnagiri is popular. Every year the town is visited by many numbers of tourists, some of them come here to spend their holidays and some for relaxing from their busy schedule. For transportation, Ratnagiri is very easy to reach by all the ways of transportation such as by road, by train and by air also. By buses, direct buses from all the major cities always remain available and by train also there are numbers of trains remaining available. Many tourists come here from Mumbai and Pune and that is why most of the tourists come here via bus or via rental or private cars. There are number of places to visit here and I would one should visit the town once in lifetime because the land is very beautiful, full of greenery and amazing places. Ratnagiri is famous for mangoes, for pilgrimage centres, for forts, temples and many more and for nature lovers it is a perfect destination to visit. The soaring peaks, cool, crisp mountain air and the beautiful weather of the town make Ratnagiri more and more beautiful. If you are planning to visit any hill station or want to visit any places where you can fully enjoy natural beauty, then I would suggest Ratnagiri. The town is also famous for beaches and the white sand beaches of the town are popular among all the tourists.
